Media Analysis Work

Process and Product
Media Analysis and Research is the intersection of process and product. To me, the most fascinating aspect of critical media analysis is understanding how the choices during the creative process leads to a successful product outcome.

As an academic, I utilize data analysis, research, and ethnographic tools to determine the course of my work. In addition to class presentations, I have conducted iterative research with dyslexic students, strengthening my understanding about dyslexia representation in children's media leading to the development of authentically representative scripts. My research project titled "Learning Differences and Children's Media" won a top panel presentation award at the Northwestern Undergraduate Research Expo.
